The Huntingtower Lunch is an annual highlight of the Lauriston community’s calendar. With a lively mix of 400 current parents, past parents and alumnae, our community looks forward to this wonderful Spring event.

This year, the Huntingtower Lunch will be supporting a particularly worthwhile cause: all funds raised from the lunch will go towards The Lauriston Foundation Scholarship Fund. The Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to a student who would otherwise be unable to experience a Lauriston education. The Scholarship is awarded based on above-average results achieved in the annual scholarship examination, school reports and an interview. We are proud to offer two means-tested Foundation Scholarships every two years which will provide full tuition, books and uniform to students entering Year 7 until graduation in Year 12, including Howqua.

These scholarships have been created to support girls who demonstrate intellectual ability, community-mindedness and good character and would not otherwise have the chance to experience the outstanding education and opportunities at Lauriston. This is consistent with Lauriston’s desire to be an inclusive, all-round school that embraces a wide variety of students from varied backgrounds who can add to the vibrancy and strength of our community.

We seek to request your support in donations which we can use towards our online auction which is held in conjunction with the Huntingtower Lunch. With the help of generous donors last year, our online auction generated huge interest from our community with 12,000+ online views being recorded in the weeks leading up to the Huntingtower Lunch. With prizes ranging from special sporting and cultural experiences, dining vouchers, to holiday accommodation packages and homewares, the online auction generates significant interest and it is also promoted heavily in Lauriston’s various communication channels.

All businesses will be profiled via a scrolling screen during the lunch and we can work with donors on various ways we can help recognise your contribution.
